Producers never get enough love until they reach superstar status like Pharrell or Timbaland. Ask your average Hip-Hop fan to name talented 50 producers and emcees in the game right now, and I’m sure they’ll have a much easier time with the emcees. What’s worse is that Apollo Brown probably won’t even enter that fan’s mind for the producers.
The Mello Music Group producer is about to release his Thirty Eight Instrumental LP on 5/6. The throwback themed album with leave all of its perfect imperfections (vinyl crackles and scratches) where they are as it draws from Blaxploitation films and the Hip-Hop tracks that sampled them. Roc Marciano is featured on a couple tracks and we’re sure they won’t disappoint. If you decide to buy a CD, you’ll also get a 5″ vinyl that have these two tracks on it. The vinyl collectors will get a 45 that has two bonus instrumental on it. Apollo is making sure everyone gets a little something.
