For 30 years, the Sundance film festival has taken over Park City, UT to premiere independent films from all over the world. Of course the music in many Sundance films is also celebrated and festival goers were able to catch ASCAP produced performances at the festival’s official music cafe.
The shows, which were produced by ASCAP and sponsored by Acura, included performances by Australian R&B singer Guy Sebastion, guitarist Richie Sambora, and British singer/songwriter Carina Round.
Our highlight was catching KT Tunstall perform tracks from her latest album “Invisible Empire // Crescent Moon” and of course her 2005 hit single “Black Horse and the Cherry Tree.”
On Tuesday night, ASCAP presented their official cocktail reception for filmmakers, composers, and industry insiders; which also took place at the ASCAP Music Cafe. Guests enjoyed tacos and other Mexican fare from Park City’s Del Taco.
