Miri Ben-Ari more commonly known as the Grammy-award winning hip-hop violinist teamed up with Scholastic Art & Writing Awards to help promote tolerance.
The campaign is geared towards students in grades 7-12 across the United States. Students are asked to create written pieces or original works of art that reflect upon lessons learned from the Holocaust and other genocides. The goal is to to raise awareness and promote a peaceful, tolerant society.
Five winners will be chosen from across the U.S who will each win $1,000 grand prize. The Israeli born musician rose to fame in America while collaborating with Kanye West, Jay Z , Wyclef Jean, Alicia Keys, Britney Spears and more.
