ihopA Virginia IHOP worker was ecstatic when a customer left her a large tip but that all came to a screeching halt when she was fired.

Chanetrice Carter, a a server at the Glen Allen, Virginia IHOP, says she was called into a closed-door meeting with her manager a week after she received a $200 tip.

“He said, ‘That’s his handwriting. That’s his signature.’ But he only meant to write down $2.00. He didn’t mean to write down $200.00,” Carter told WWBT 12 On Your Side.

Carter also said that her manager told her, “You have seven days to pay it back or else.”

The waitress refused to pay the money back and was fired because of it.

The IHOP district manager ended up offering Carter her job back.
