TheSource.com spotlights UK rapper: Karmah Cruz
Karmah Cruz, is a British singer-songwriter/rapper and producer from South London who recently won a spot in the Raps United Nations Showcase.
A musical jack of all trades, Karmah Cruz began making music at the tender age of ten, and taught herself how to write, and create her own music. With her genres ranging from reggae to pop, Karmah embraces all genres and believes her versatility, was stemmed from growing up in a musical household.
The daughter of Christine Lewin–A reggae singer songwriter, and the daughter of a guitarist, Karmah Cruz was encouraged from a very young age to create music and made her first song in the studio when she was just three years old! She also was a keen footballer and played for the Fulham and Arsenal ladies football team. Karmah still enjoys playing football, however struggles to find time to do both as she is forever in the studio.
Karmah Cruz began her career off as a grime artist and has since evolved into an artist that can create any genre, and combines all of her art forms together to create her authentic and individual sound. The young artist who has already begun on her EP, has been collaborating with a lot of big musical names, and is securing her place already in the music industry as a force to be reckoned with.
