JoeyBrooklyn emcee, Joey Bada$$ is on the come up and it’s going to take about 3 million dollars for him to take any major label seriously. Recently, Joey Bada$$ was featured in an interview with The Village Voice, when asked about his terms for signing with a major label he responded,”Three million [dollars]. Off the top.” When asked if he was truly serious about that, Joey answered “Hell yeah. [It would] get my Mom out the hood.”

Although Joey Bada$$ feels this way, he still has Cinematic Entertainment to back him up, which is a distribution deal with Sony Red, a division of Sony records, a major label. Cinematic also deals with artists such as, Big K.R.I.T, who is signed to Def Jam Records and Smoke Dza, who worked with Harry Fraud on Nature Sound Records.

Joey Bada$$ has released his new mixtape yesterday morning, Summer Knights and his project consists of 17 new tracks. For all of my hip-hop lovers, do you believe Joey is worth three million dollars?
