Refs gave lineman Isaiah Battle the boot in the fourth quarter in last night’s game which Clemson routed NC State. Battle was ejected from the game for throwing a Mayweather-like uppercut on Wolfpack defensive back, Jarvis Byrd. The punch was strong enough to knock Byrd on is back all while wearing his helmet. A little shoulder bumping then ensued between both teams, but nothing else happened after the scuffle.
Head coach for Clemson, Dabo Swinney stated in a post game interview that the punch was a “poor” personal foul and that “isn’t Clemson.”
