1-1
The Oklahoma City Thunder, favored by many to represent the Western Conference in this summer’s NBA Finals, ran into a mild roadblock at home last night against the pesky Memphis Grizzlies, who, incidentally, was the team that ended the Thunder’s championship dreams last season in their second round series.
Last night, the Thunder trailed for the majority of the game, but they rallied behind their crowd in the 4th quarter and eventually forced overtime–during which they fell victim–thanks in large part to this ridiculous near-circus shot from the probable NBA MVP Kevin Durant.
The decisive play to force overtime was an equally improbable tip-in from Thunder center Kendrick Perkins as time expired in regulation, but without this play, that would’ve been nothing but make the final margin closer.
