Big move for the birthday boy.
Last night was J. Cole‘s 29th birthday, and in case you’ve been asleep all day, he celebrated in a big way. At his sold-out MSG Theater What Dreams May Come Tour show, Cole brought out Jay Z and Kendrick Lamar as surprise guests on his headlining set. This was shortly after he announced his joint partnership with Interscope Records to bring his Dreamville crew onto the same label that currently houses Dr. Dre‘s Aftermath team, and Anthony Tiffith‘s Top Dawg Entertainment. To celebrate the achievement, J. Cole presented a new mixtape, Dreamville’s Revenge Of The Dreamers, featuring contributions from himself, Bas, KQuick, Omen and the rest of the Dreamville team.
Yesterday, before the official announcement was made, Bas was up at The Source’s offices previewing new music from his upcoming mixtape, Last Winter, which is set to be released on March 6th, and he revealed to us he, along with the rest of Dreamville, would be signing to Interscope, and he had this to say about it.
