Deamville is for the kids
North Carolina rapper J. Cole will host his 3rd Annual Dreamville Weekend starting Thursday, March 6 through Saturday, March 8, Cole announced through a press release.
“For our 3rd Annual Dreamville Weekend, we really wanted to involve the entire community to help everyone grow as a whole,” the Roc Nation artist said. ”We are happy that we’ve been able to encourage our youth to stay on a positive path through our schools and community organizations.”
Some of the events will include a screening of the critically acclaimed Fruitvale Station and a discussion with author of Tyrell, Coe Booth. Tyrell is the story of an African American family living in a homeless shelter.
J. Cole started Dreamville Weekend in 2012 to give back to his hometown of Fayetteville, North Carolina, and recognize leaders of his community.
