James Fauntleroy‘s voice has been heard on a number of big name projects, from the likes of Common and Nas. Known for his work with the Cocaine 80′s, he has quickly become one of the most in demand writers and singers in the industry. Now, the time has finally come for him to release his own solo project, which may be an EP or a mixtape. Last night, the vocalist decided to drop off two singles from his upcoming and it already sounds amazing. Both tracks are acoustic, which highlights his vocal range and lyrical ability.
‘Year Round” is a song that takes listeners through all four seasons, from winter to summer and then back again. It is a beautiful ode to the feelings associated with the weather.
“Peace” is a track that feels like its name extremely well, once again acoustic. It has quite the laid back feel and displays Fauntleroy’s voice perfectly.
