Paying homage to the greats never gets old

Last night on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Janelle Monae gave the country her passionate rendition of Jimmy Hendrix’s “Little Wing.” With The Roots providing quality backing, Monae reminded us how relevant some music in history can be regardless of the era. If you haven’t bought it yet, Jimi Hendrix’s posthumous album, People, Hell and Angels, just dropped. It’s a rare look at unreleased tracks from the genius.
