Jay Z is no longer an owner of the Nets
Just as quickly as Jay Z’s NBA ownership came is how fast it went. Today sources have told the NY Post that Jay Z has unloaded his .067 percent of the Nets ownership shares.
The man that will be buying said shares is the new Brooklyn Nets head coach Jason Kidd. Kidd will purchase his new ownership shares at around $500,000 from Hov.
Jay was forced to sell his ownership following the creation of his sports agency Roc Nation Sports. Conflict of interest is definitely one of the first rules when it comes being an agent and owner at the same time.
Don’t worry though, you will still be able to catch Jay Z at Nets games as he insured us on his song “Open Letters.” Jay still owns the building and he will in fact be keeping his seat.
