Jay Z paid his respects to the late, great Nelson Mandela last night during his Magna Carta World Tour stop in L.A. At the end of his show at the Staples Center, Hov dedicated the last song of the night to the former President, who passed away last week due to health complications.

“We want to dedicate this song to Nelson Mandela… A great man… Spent 27 years in prison, came out to be President… All dreams are possible… So anybody out there that got a dream, y’all chase that motherf-cker down as hard as you can… Let that great man stand as an example of what you can do.”

Mr. Carter’s tribute is one of many dedications to Mandela including artists like Alicia Keys, John Legend, Wyclef Jean and author Maya Angelou. Watch the tribute here.
