In what surely has made Hip-Hop the dominant genre in music this summer, Jay-Z announced his upcoming album ‘Magna Carta Holy Grail’ during the NBA halftime last night with a 3 minute commercial partnered with Samsung. The album’s release date is set for July 7th and will be made available three days earlier for Samsung subscribers.
Jay-Z’s latest announcement is just another innovative move made in hip-hop this summer. J. Cole, Kanye West and Wale have all made monumental strides to ensure that hip-hop will be the only thing on people’s mind this summer. Now Jay-Z has taken to his neglected Twitter account to share his thoughts on the latest movements being made by himself and his colleagues. Don’t expect HOV to have more of a presence on Twitter, he’s filled his quota.
Check out the tweets below. Hip-hop is alive and well!
