July 8th is a go for Hov’s performance outside of the Ed Sullivan Theater.
As he continues his proclamation of the new rules, Jay-Z refines his contrasting methods of branding and marketing with subtle yet exceptional product placement of his most recent project Magna Carta Holy Grail. What would be his 12th studio album, Jay-Z gears up for its release on Independence Day which has the streets justifiably buzzing. With little less than a month left a commercial was launched that no one on YouTube would dare skip, unifying Samsung’s stranglehold with the strong-arm pull of Roc Nation’s head honcho.
With the recent announcement of a rumored performance atop the Ed Sullivan Theater facade, search engines were flooded with inquiries about the aforementioned free show. A chance to see Jay-Z perform for free? In the middle of New York City? Yes, please. This adds to his unconventional methods that prove to be efficient and prodigious as he rolls them out. All Jay-Z needed to execute his latest installment of new rules was a permit from the mayor’s office. Mayor Bloomberg okays Hov’s request to bless N.Y.C. at rush hour just a week from next Monday.
Things will get interesting in the week leading up to his performance. Get ready New York.
