Manziel asked to leave Manning camp
Texas A&M’s Johnny Manziel partying may have caught up with him again, this time it was at the Manning Camp. The Manning Camp is a football camp held for college quarterbacks in Thibodaux, Louisiana which is held by the Manning family; Eli, Peyton, and Archie.
After showing up late or failing to show up for practice assignments due to “illness,” the camp thought it was best if he left a day early. Manziel was reportedly out late and was dealing with dehydration, something that is connected to drinking.
Peyton Manning though had nothing but good things to say about last year’s Heisman Trophy winner;
“I enjoyed meeting Johnny. I can remember a 20-year-old Eli [Manning] missing a meeting and catching some flak. We always have counselors who leave early. Johnny was great with the campers for the time he was here. He had to leave early. I wish him the best, and I want him to come back as a counselor next year.”
