Bones vs. The Mauler
Jones asked for it and Dana White gave it to him. UFC President Dana White announced today that Jon Jones will be defending his light heavyweight title against Alexander Gustafsson this fall.
If Jones successfully defends his belt against Gustafsson he will break Tito Ortiz’s record for most title defenses in the light heavyweight division. Jones has also said that he won’t move up in weight class or fight cross-divisonal fighters until he has the record. A best case scenario for fans and the UFC is that Jones defends his belt than takes his talents up a weight class to fight Andrerson Silva.
The exact date to Jones vs. Gustafsson is still TBA.
