The debate whether or not Sochi is prepared to host the 2014 Olympics has been answered as  journalists began checking into their hotels earlier last week and discovered what a sad state Sochi is in.  The journalists have been since describing terrible conditions of the hotels and surrounding areas in Sochi.

Currently, hotels are still under construction while the winter games have started. Journalists are reporting they have water that isn’t drinkable, stray animals such as cats and dogs are around the hotel’s main areas, as well as broken water mains and wandering construction workers walking in and out of guests rooms.

The news on the state of the Olympics seem to contradict what the Russian and Olympic officials have stated about Sochi being ready for the games, but in a time of social media and pictures speaking a thousand words.
