In a recent interview with Emilio Sparks, rapper/producer Juicy J revealed his involvement in the posthumous Pimp C album. We first heard of plans for the album from his widow Chinara Butler.
“I’m producing it,” Juicy told Sparks. “I’m not gonna do all the production on it, but I’mma definitely do a lot.”
Chinara Butler will serve as executive producer on the album. Although Juicy J won’t be doing all of the production, he explained his background with the UGK and how they worked on a few tracks together in the past. He said working on the album will be a “no-brainer.”
“We did a lot of records back in the day and I know his sound,” said the Tennessee rapper. “I know Pimp C’s sound. He rapped over a lot of my tracks from back in the day.”
