In honor of the 10 year anniversary of Jay Z’s highly revered “The Black Album” producer Just Blaze sat down to discuss the story behind his hit “Public Service Announcement.” Blaze chopped it up with Revolt TV and said Hov had already begun doing press for the completed album when he heard the track.
Just-who produced the album’s intro and “December 4″- heard “Public Service Announcement” which features samples from “Seed of Love” by Little Boy Blues and “No One Can Do It Better” from D.O.C. and said he cooked up the remaining production for the song within 10 minutes.
In the three minute black-and-white clip, Just Blaze explains Hov’s initial hesitation to the song and recording verses in between press runs.
