…until Jay changed direction while Just was on tour
Jay Z‘s Magna Carta Holy Grail album was notably full of production from Timbaland, who Jay admitted to having a falling out with, and Pharrell production, which was found few and far in between on post-2003 Jay projects. Just Blaze, whose last work with Hov was on Kingdom Come, was noticeably absent from the lead up to the album, which seemed to re-unite Jay Z with his best former collaborators, so on his interview with Power 105.1′s The Breakfast Club, Just Blaze was asked about the kink in the process that disallowed his music from appearing on MCHG. Listen to the intriguing tale, along with other updates from one of the best producers since the turn of the millenium.
