Take one look at artist Yigal Ozeri’s art work and you’ll think you’re looking at someone’s Instagram pics that has been touched up by a  filter app.  Ozeri, who is from Israel, has been painting hyper realistic photos for some time now, only this time around he’s doing it on a grander scale, capturing women in a state of relaxation with a hint of elegance. What seems to be fancy photograph to the naked eye are really paintings.

What makes the paints so real is that fact that Yigal doesn’t leave any spaces on his work which make the paintings so real looking.  With just a paint brush Yigal makes shadows, sunrise, sunset, water and even smoke look as real as possible making you think this photo cannot be the works of just paint but an actual photo.

The growing genre of hyperrealism has had as mixed reviews from fans and other artist because of how it’s done. In an age where anything can copied, especially with the rise of 3D printing, you can see why the genre would see some criticism.  From the looks of the photos below is the hyperreal genre overrated or just another fad by artists?
