Justin Verlander Is Now The Highest Paid Pitcher In MLB History

Justin Verlander’s latest contract extension exceeds Felix Hernandez’s contract making him the highest pitcher in the history of the MLB. Verlander signed a 5-year $180 million dollar extension that includes a vesting option bumping the money to a possible $202 million. What this contract does is keep Verlander in a Tigers uniform through 2019, Verlander also took to his twitter to make a promise to the Tiger faithful.
