The reunion of VH1′s Love and Hip Hop: New York aired last night, but don’t expect K. Michelle to return next season. However, that doesn’t mean that’ll be the last you’ll see of her on VH1.
The R&B songstress is to star on her own VH1 reality show, “No New Friends,” where fans will get to see all facets of K. Michelle. “It’s just me, who I always am, me as a woman, me as a mother and just me as a businesswoman and interacting with my friends,” she said back in December.
The Memphis singer’s new mixtape, Still No F-cks Given is scheduled for release on Valentine’s Day. And while the admittedly “little ratchet” beauty isn’t currently in a relationship, fans can expect K. Michelle to sing what she does best: love, relationships and sorry men.
In addition, K. Michelle is working on a musical based off her debut album, Rebellious Soul. The Idris Elba directed showcase will air on VH1.
“I took every song on Rebellious Soul and it turned into a conversation and flipped it kind of like a female “Trapped in the Closet,” she said. “I turned the whole album around, Idris heard it. Loved it. And we decided to team up.”
K. Michelle is hard at work and isn’t stopping any time soon. In the mean time, listen to K. Michelle’s new song, I Don’t Believe below and catch her in a city near you when she hits the road with Robin Thicke beginning Feb. 21.
