Drake’s newest song compares him to one Mr. Sweat
“I’m the light skinned Keith Sweat”, proclaims a triumphant Drake in almost a chuckling voice in a verse on his latest song, “All Me”, which features his good friends 2 Chainz & Big Sean. Its a hilarious comparison to make, but Drake is no stranger to referencing classic R&B crooners–see: Jon B sample in the first half of Take Care’s “Cameras/Good Ones Go”–and Keith Sweat responded to the lyric positively, saying he’s “flattered” by the bar, as per a conversation he had with Complex Magazine earlier this morning.
Out of all the R&B artists that have come out, I think my name has been used most in hip-hop songs. It’s real flattering to know that someone who is on the top of their game will still acknowledge my music and what I’ve done. I’m a big fan of hip-hop anyway, I’m most definitely a fan of Drake, he’s at the top of his game, you can’t be mad at him. His music is melodic as well as edgy.

He could’ve always gone the Diggy Simmons or Canibus route. Thankfully, he didn’t.
