No bad blood between the Club Paradise Tour members.
Less than 2 years after embarking on The Club Paradise Tour together, Kendrick Lamar and Drake were–reluctantly–at each other’s jugular in the aftermath of Kendrick’s “Control” verse. While Kendrick took the offensive, calling out Drake’s name during his contribution to Big Sean’s Hall Of Fame leftover, Drake divulged in nearly every interview he did following the release of the song that he had no issues with Kendrick, but knew he would never lose to Kendrick in any facet. Despite his responses to the verse seemingly becoming more and more personal with each interview, the issues seemed to fizzle out, especially as Kendrick’s BET Hip-Hop Awards Cypher verse seemed to be aimed more towards Papoose than Drizzy.
At Powerhouse 2013–during which he brought out Lil’ Kim to perform a couple classics–Kendrick Lamar sat down with the Breakfast Club crew and laid to rest any potential beef the public might be trying to piece together. Listen to what he had to say, along with A$AP Rocky, Jay Rock, A$AP Ferg and ScHoolboy Q.
