There’s a reason for everything.
Lebron James is an overachiever. The former Cleveland Cavalier has been taking home coveted NBA hardware since his first year in the league (2003-2004 NBA Rookie of the Year, 4-Time NBA NVP, 2-time NBA Finals MVP, USA Gold Medalist), and despite not playing a single college basketball game, has progressed into the consensus best living basketball player. He’s got his father to thank for that.
Well, sort of.
In a letter King James posted to his Instagram account last night, the reigning NBA MVP satirically thanked his father for not being there, citing his absence as the added motivation and drive he needed as a youngster to make something of himself rather than sinking into a hole full of self-pity.
