Saturday night, LeBron James took over TAO Nightclub and hosted a Heat Repeat Championship party in celebration of his recent back-to-back victory.
Donning a leather Miami Heat cap, James fueled up for the night at TAO Asian Bistro and was accompanied by a large group of friends including NBA players Damon Jones and Juwan Howard. The group enjoyed signatures off of the menu and James put in a special order of Blackened Salmon with asparagus to the chef before heading up to the nightclub.
Shortly after midnight, DJ Vice announced the NBA superstar’s arrival as the room shifted its attention to James’ VIP tables on the dance floor. The group was bombarded with a flurry of flashes and cheers as fans welcomed them to TAO. James jumped on the mic to greet the crowd and stood on top of his booth where he was joined by boxer and friend Floyd Mayweather. While shouting out Mayweather to the club, he announced that Floyd should only be called “Money Mayweather” and he should only be referred to as “King James.” TAO then surprised the two-time champ with a giant presentation including confetti showers and a parade of lights that escorted a chariot holding a pair of gold painted ladies through the crowd as well as an intricate cake shaped as two championship rings designed by Gimme Some Sugar. The party continued to the sounds of DJ Vice while James led the charge late into the night.
Other athletes spotted at TAO Nightclub on Saturday include NFL players Adrian Wilson, Leon McFadden, Dimitri Patterson and Karlos Dansby who all partied at separate VIP tables throughout the club scene.
