The Man. The Myth. The Legend.
If there were a Mount Rushmore for the New York Yankees, it’s hard to argue against Derek Jeter having a spot on it. With 19 seasons, 3,316 hits and five World Series championships under his belt in the Bronx, Jeter has been a central figure in the success of the Yankees during his tenure.
From his leadership, to his miraculous plays and professionalism displayed on and off the field, Jeter is a future hall of gamer that will go down as one of the best to ever do it. After Jeter announced that the 2014 season would be his last a couple of weeks ago, it’s only right that we look back at the moments that defined The Captain’s life and career as a Yankee.
Let’s take a trip down memory lane to run through the moments, accomplishments and highlights that make Jeter one of the best to ever don the pinstripes.
