New 50 Cent music? No way

Street King Immortal, the forthcoming 5th studio album from the New York gangster rap juggernaut 50 Cent, hasn’t quite reached the mythical status his frequent collaborator and mentor’s Detox album has, but we’re starting to think we’ll be waiting a while to hear the G-Unit CEO’s next LP. Despite his three attempts at lead, album roll-out spawning singles (the Dr. Dre & Alicia Keys assisted “New Day”, the Adam Levine & Eminem featured “My Life”, and the most promising one, his “We Up” collaboration with Kendrick Lamar), SKI hasn’t quite taken the shape and form we all thought it would this year, and with Jay Z, Kanye West, Eminem, & Lil’ Wayne all dropping albums this year, it would’ve been nice to have another one of the past decade’s superstars joining the fold.

Regardless of his failure to launch, 50 Cent wants to remind fans, the industry, or maybe even himself, that he “will not lose” with his new cut, “Warning You”. Despite the self-explanatory title, the verses come with many dimensions, going so far as to reminisce on his independent grind, and being turned down from numerous major labels in quintessential GRODT fashion. It’s a gritty track, with melody-less verses and a vain, un-earthly hook provided by an unconfirmed female singer (Skylar Gray would be my best guess), and while 50′s newer material has come few and far in between, “Warning You”, despite its old/unreleased condition, will suffice…for now.
