Big K.R.I.T. drops another single in honor of his self-proclaimed Big K.R.I.T. week as he preps fans for the release of his highly anticipated album,“Cadillicatica.”
Today, the Mississippian dropped the freestyle “Conscious Effort.” K.R.I.T.’s perfected flow fits perfectly over Hi-Tek’s soulful, “Letter to The King.”
He raps, ” Early like the morning/yawing/wipe the crust from my third eye/To peep the true intentions of buzzards.” Makes one question the intentions of person they’re sitting next to.
Then K.R.I.T. sheds light on the arrogant as he raps, “Brutus came through trice/and he murked out Caesar after all them years/so, what make you think your sh.. don’t stink and you won’t get killed?”
It wouldn’t be K.R.I.T. if he didn’t surpass his own thought provoking rhymes as he raps, “I ain’t worried about no jack boys/these white boys pulling capers.”
“Conscious Effort” is one of those songs that you keep on repeat while riding through the hood or on the freeway.
