That MTV proposal makes so much more sense now
Well played Khaled, well played. In a week that’s been marked more by Khaled’s repeated claims of wanting to tie the knot with Nicki Minaj than anything else, Khaled’s punchline came late last night, as Funkmaster Flex took to the airwaves to debut Suffering From Success‘ second single–the follow-up to “No New Friends”–which features usual suspects Future, Rick Ross, and, of course, Nicki herself.
What’s the song called? “I Wanna Be With You”. Of course.
For what its worth, its one of Nicki’s better verses as of late, certainly in keeping with her guest appearances this year (CB’s “Love More”, Busta Rhymes’ “Twerk It” and Ciara’s “I’m Out”, to name a few) and with Future Hendrix on the hook, it seems as if this single is destined for success. Not to mention, Khaled’s We the Best in-house producer, Lee On The Beats (who was responsible for last summer’s “Pop That”, is evidently on the beat. Enjoy.
