The Bronx emcee is gearing to drop his new project, ‘Just In Case’
While most New York artists, especially in the aftermath of Kendrick Lamar’s sea-parting verse on “Control”, are aligning/have aligned themselves with the Notorious B.I.G. when it comes to the deceased, region-specific member of hip-hop’s folklore, Bronx rapper Doley Bernays clearly has a different agenda. His new song, “Feelin’ Like ‘Pac”, is an emotionally direct track, that finds Bernays revisiting the 90′s aura that once made New York hip-hop, especially that from upper NYC/The Bronx/Staten Island, a staple in the history books of the genre. While “FLP” won’t find its home on Bernays upcoming EP, Just In Case, the MP Williams-produced cut should certainly give you a taste of what’s to come, if fundamentally sound, hardcore hip-hop is your thing.
