Los Angeles-Bred Lyricist Drops New Single In The Midst Of Tour
Nipsey Hussle made a convincing case for rap’s comeback artist of the year in 2013. After a hiatus, during which some media outlets went as far as writing off the West Coast wordsmith as a disappointment, Nip C-Note returned triumphantly with the release of his well received Crenshaw project. The mixtape made our year end list and its daring and creative marketing strategy turned heads in the Hip-Hop community, even garnering the attention of Jay-Z.
Nip has taken his show on the road in 2014, with his Crenshaw Tour weaving its way through the country. Although the emcee is tearing down stages nightly, he hasn’t forgotten about the ears of his listeners and drops off this new offering, “Count Up That Loot”, produced by DJ Drew Byrd.
There’s no info on where this single will live but Nipsey has hinted at releasing his debut album, Victory Lap, this year. Listen above and find out when the Crenshaw Tour will be touching your city here.
