‘Oxymoron’ is now officially on the way.
Tonight, magically appearing on iTunes was ScHoolboy Q‘s brand new single from his upcoming debut album Oxymoron. With no release date officially announced, but a considerable amount of buzz behind him, Q liberates the Kendrick Lamar collaboration from his highly anticipated first major label LP. Over minimalist THC production, and superb Ali engineering (of course), the two TDE brethren trade bars effortlessly. From ScHoolboy narrating the current state of his bank account (what you make a year, spend that on my daughter’s shoes), to Kendrick Lamar rapping the introductory bars to his verse in flawless Espanol, “Collard Greens” is very much worth the 5-minute roller coaster it takes you on. If this is what Oxymoron sounds like, we’ll take an earful, thanks.
