Chicago rapper Vic Mensa has created quite a buzz for himself, and quite honestly, its about time everyone take notice. Bursting through the glass ceiling that is summer expectations, “Orange Soda” and “Hollywood, LA” became staples on any underground watcher’s playlist, and quite a few people in the mainstream began to take notice, including J. Cole, who admitted to being impressed by Mensa’s talents in his interview with Vibe Magazine.

Musically, a lot is going on for the Save Money capo this month. His increasingly coveted mixtape, #INNANETAPE, hits the net on September 30th, and with praise flying in from just about every worthwhile tastemaker in the industry over the past couple months, it isn’t far-fetched to say his rise could be as meteroic as that of his Save Money counterpart Chance The Rapper. To whet appetites, Mensa’s camp gave the green light to let go with this new joint, featuring Eliza Doolittle, produced by the much talked about DJ Dahi, who’s been in the news of late for his window-shattering work on Drake’s “Worst Behavior” track from his upcoming Nothing Was The Same album. Avid followers of the Chicagoan will recognize the track from his “Yung Net” preview, which was put together by illROOTS two weeks ago and leaked to the internet as a preview for the mixtape. Listen to the bold track below, and get yourselves ready for Innanetape.
