How things have changed. In recent years, Lupe Fiasco‘s hometown Chicago has a higher death rate than Iraq right now. For his new joint with Ed Sheeran, the Chi-town rapper takes us back to the good days when Chicago wasn’t the murder capital of the country.
“Old School Love” starts off by shedding the negative light on Chicago today but then segues into Chicago back from when he was a kid. With the support of some black-and-white scenes, children are seen laughing and playing in the streets rather than slinging drugs and ducking drive-bys. The single is fresh off his upcoming project Tetsuo & Youth, which he has been bringing to life recently in his tour around the country. Make sure you look out for the album coming in 2014.
