Things got real testy on Saturday night as Texas Tech upset Oklahoma St. 65-61. Towards the end Marcus Smart walked over to an elder man, I’m not sure what the man said but it enraged Smart as he pushed him.
I’m sure some kind of punishment will be levied and this won’t exactly help his draft stock.
Smart had 22 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists in the loss.
Update:
So it turns out the guy who heckled Smart has a history of this behavior. I can only begin to imagine what it is that he said to Smart and I’m sure it’ll come out soon. While I feel for Smart (cause it must’ve been something really bad), he still has to keep his cool, especially with such a bright future ahead of him.
There’s rumors floating around that it involved racial slurs and now it’s being confirmed that Smart told coaches the guy called him the n-word.
Sure this has been said but OSU radio said immediately after the incident that Smart told the OSU coaches that the fan said THE word

His name is Jeff Orr and he’s described as Texas Tech’s number 1 fan.
UPDATE:
Jeff Orr sent a text message to a friend who is also a friend of CBS personality Doug Gottlieb. Orr admits to saying something he shouldn’t have but denies saying the N-word. Something isn’t adding up.
Text convo from my Tech friend w/Orr- Orr is Tech’s biggest fan-everyone knows him, he goes to every game pic.twitter.com/1ZlN6gAdz3
