Looks like Maryland Hoops are under construction

Well it looks like Maryland basketball will be heading into the Big Ten without some key players next season.

Nick Faust, Shaq Cleare and Roddy Peters have all decided to transfer from Maryland.

According to head coach Mark Turgeon:

I really enjoyed coaching Nick, Shaq and Roddy,” head coach Mark Turgeon said. “It is unfortunate that they will no longer be a part of the program. I wish them the very best in their future endeavors.”

Faust a 6-6 swingman will be the biggest lost for the Terps seeing that he averaged 9.4 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.0 assist this past season. Cleare averaged 3.0 points a game while only grabbing 2.5 boards a contest whereas, Roddy Peters averaged a mere 4.1pts and 2.1 assist this season.

Despite the losses, Maryland has a top 15 recruiting class and is loaded with incoming freshman’s in Melo Trimble, Dion Wiley and Michal Cekovsky.
