Move over Maury, here comes MC Serch
Legendary rapper MC Serch from the hip hop group 3rd Bass is making his debut on daytime TV by becoming the Hip-Hop Maury in 2014.
Before gaining his current daytime gig, the 3rd Bass rapper was host of VH1′s, The White Rapper Show and Miss Rap Supreme back in 2007 and 2008 respectively.
The show was given a four-week trial run by CBS and picked up back in September. It will air in New York, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and Washinton, D.C. among other states.
Here is what Serch said about his new show,
“The daytime show will be the perfect balance to that of Maury and Dr. Phil. There’s this giant chasm in the middle for somebody who can just talk to people about themselves on their own level.”
