It’s about to go down. McDonald’s just announced that it’s adding an exciting option to its menu that you won’t find anywhere else — besides KFC that is — hot wings!

McD’s Mighty Wings — breaded, fried and seasoned with chili peppers and cayenne — will be making its national debut this September. The Mighty Wings are said to have sold so well during a trial run in Atlanta last year that the fast-food company is convinced it will be a national hit. The wings are expected to cost $4.99 for five. Despite costing more than chicken nuggets and being harder to eat, critics think it’ll be a big hit. “Wings is a major move,” said food editor Scott Hume of BurgerBusiness. “It’s like the Colonel adding a cheeseburger.”

Right, but he wouldn’t do that because it don’t make no damn sense. The Colonel does, however, believe in one thing that McDonald’s is clearly forgetting — sides! Paying $4.99 for a five-piece wing which doesn’t include fries or a drink is egregious. Don’t nobody want to pay $1 per wing. Just make us all happy and offer all-day breakfast already.
