The tumultuous saga between Meek Mill and the law has taken a bizarre turn. According TMZ , the MMG recording artist has filed a suit against the city of Philadelphia, claiming he was wrongly imprisoned and officers invaded his privacy.
On Halloween night, in 2012, Meek was stopped and arrested by the police under suspicion of possession of marijuana. Their eventually released the rapper, when their findings came back with nothing. Unfortunately, he was placed in handcuffs because he refused to let the cops search his vehicle.
He states that the entire ordeal forced him to miss a flight to Atlanta, where he was supposed to make an appearance at a party. He is suing for the $22k jet flight that he missed, as well as the $39k he was going to make at the event. Not only that, but he claims that the arrest stalled and took away leverage, during his negotiations with a Puma for multiple millions of dollar, and forced Meek into accepting $650k settlement.
