Birdman, Birdman

The wait was finally over Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals started and boy was it physical. The Pacers and Heat battled back and forth the whole game in to the final seconds where Paul George who was called “not a star” by Skip Bayless answered the call. A rare miss on a free throw by Ray Allen that could have iced the game gave Paul George and the Pacers a chance to tie. George hit a miraculous three to send the game in to OT and continued his high play giving LeBron and the Heat fits.

After a loose ball scramble George was fouled on a three point shot that if he hit all three free throws would give the Pacers a 102-101 lead. With ice in his veins George did just that. The questionable call of the night will be the Pacers Head Coach Frank Vogel not having Roy Hibbert on the court for two key possessions that ended in LeBron layups.

Down 1 with 2.2 seconds in the game and no Roy Hibbert on the court all signs pointed to LeBron attacking the rim. That’s exactly what happened, off the inbound LeBron beat Paul George and got a layup line layup for the game winner. LeBron also posted his 9th career playoff triple double in the process.
