In October during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the guys on YouTube known as “Simple Pickup” made a video called “Motorboating Girls For Breast Cancer Awareness.” In the video they pledged to donate $20 for every time a girl let them motorboat them. They raised $2000.

They donated the money as promised, but had the money refunded due to claims that their video was sexist. They still wanted to donate the money though.

Someone suggested that they use the money to help an actual breast cancer victim. That’s how the guys found Crystal Cody, a single mom of three. Her story is riveting.
