NCAA investigating Johnny Football over autographs

Can he live? Well apparently not with the NCAA around. The high-profiled Heisman winner has come under investigation by the NCAA yet again. This time it isn’t Manziel’s partying or lavish lifestyle that has been called in to question, but he reportedly made money off “hundreds” of autographs he signed.

According to ESPN’s Darren Rovell and Justine Gubar, Manziel was paid upwards of five-figures to sign autographs prior to the BCS National Championship game. Manziel allegedly even visited autograph broker Drew Tieman’s house numerous times to sign the autographs. Those who witnessed the visits are not sure any money was exchanged between the two.

The NCAA still has a long way to go in order to prove Manziel was guilty of this infraction, but if guilty it could be bad. If Manziel has broken an NCAA violation he would likely miss extensive field time plus give Texas A&M a NCAA punishment of their own.

Just imagine that if the NCAA decided to play the players or allow them to use their name this all could have been avoided, but I digress.
