Piper and the gang are back together.
Last year, Netflix took the original series game by storm with Orange Is The New Black, created by Emmy Award-winner Jenji Kohan, which was to be viewed exclusively on the television show/movie-streaming service. Since then the show has been nominated for both Golden Globe and Grammy awards, and there has been no shortage of critical acclaim, i.e. the Huffington Post referring to it as one of “the best new shows of the year”.
Just under a year–the first season, consisting of 13 episodes, was released on July 16th, 2013–after the release of the first season, Netflix has renewed the powerful series for a second season, to be released on June 6th. The announcement was just made via this graphic by Netflix:
