stephen-a-smith-faces-cropped_display_imageTalk more game than Stephen A. Smith…

So if you didn’t know, Diddy actually took an L recently. Jennifer Lopez, with the help of NuvoTV, outbid Diddy for Fuse TV from Madison Square Garden Inc. The price tag? A cool $200 million. NuvoTV is the “premiere English-language entertainment network created for modern Latinos.” So the collaborative effort between them and J-Lo makes sense. What doesn’t make sense is how Diddy Puff Daddy lost. Maybe it’s because he’s focused on MMM and promoting that. But it would have made sense to have an even distributor for Revolt TV to advertise it on. Well, we can already see some changes in the programming for Fuse and that’s a good thing. Enough of that. Let’s get to the music.

You know the drill: Sound off on our Twitter (@TheSource). If you can do better yourself, submit a track or video to SYLR@thesource.com.

Divine ScienZe (feat. Sharmelle Hunte) – “Easels”

The duo of King I Divine and ScienZe is getting ready for their follow up to the eponymous project from 2012. Below is a Jazzy sample of what’s to come.

*Chace Green – “Can I Speak To You” (Prod. DJ Pain 1)

Chace goes in over ScHoolboy’s track of the same name and we feel this version is just as deserving of your ears. Listen to the details of the image he paints. Part of his #CKWednesdays series and look out for Consistency Kills.

*London – “Rollin’”

The Republic Records artist from California (go figure) makes 420 friendly tracks as well! We can already tell a lot of you folks with vibe to the production on this one. For those who stay away from the Devil’s Lettuce, enjoy with a glass of bourbon.

*Rockboy K9 (feat. Kyle) – “Photoshop”

Off of his upcoming 187 EP, this track is all about staying true to yourself and being great in the process. Definitely in the same vein as R. Kelly’s “World’s Greatest.”

*MindsOne & Kev Brown (feat. Homeboy Sandman) – “Pop”

Some rhymes for the lyrically oriented over a funky bass line. Today’s dope cuts were provided by DJ Noumenon. Off of MindsOne & Kev Brown’s Pillars LP.

*N.A. – “Rapture”

The last installment of the “Crimson Tides” chapter of the C.O.L.O.Rs. project ends with a story of an infatuation with a certain lady. It’s a bit different than what the Bible tells us.

*Sage The Gemini – “Gas Pedal” (Zero Calories Remix)

Minneapolis DJs Sidereal and 19 year old Sam McNaughton have created a remix series of stripping down Twerk friendly hits and Sage’s gets the treatment first. If you’ll be in the Midwest this May, you can catch them at the Soundset festival as well. Now don’t say we never gave you something to get crunk to.

*Reallionaire Jream – “blacKanvas” (Prod. Da Grocer)

I may never know what it’s like to be a Black man in 21st century America, but Reallionaire gives the rest of us a good idea of what it is like.

Pale Pat x Ken Rebel – “Shimmy Ya”

I found this joint floating around Twitter and the two rebels channel their ODB over a vibraphone sampled track.

*J.Y. (feat. Max B) – “Wave Season” (Prod. Cito On The Beat)

I don’t know how but NJ rapper Max B has managed to lock down a Max B hook for his first single off of Such Is Life (4/28). Well actually, I guess we do know how.
