My girl got on red bottoms… A lot of good music dropped this past week but they were either projects or just not great. And I want great. Think you’re great or know someone who is? Don’t hesitate to submit said music to SYLR@thesource.com And by the way, slow week this week means a strong showing next week, right? Yeah, let’s just go with that.
Price – “Dear N*gga”
Price aka Price Stylez pens a letter to those who need to straighten their lives out, while providing some motivation. This is off Price’s upcoming album which will drop in 2014.
ForteBowie – “If I Die”
Forte’s irregular flow is extra heartfelt on this track, which “was on the end of ‘Take Em To Church’ a lot of people really didn’t hear this song. Either they skipped it or just didn’t have the attention span. This song is important to me because it’s just raw. Just me really rapping.”
Vega (feat. Skooda Chose, Astonish, Nicholaus Kane) – “DownTown”
A few Chicago rappers got together to give you something to blast as you head downtown this weekend. And the result? Something you and your friends could Diddy Bop to on the highway.
Dave Coresh (feat. Caleb James) – “CrazyassguccishoEs”
The Chicago producer gets SaveMoney emcee, Caleb, to go in over an ever so menacing beat. This will most likely end up on Coresh’s E. L. E. *EverybodyLoveEverybody* project.
