Cuomo’s anti-marijuana crusade goes up in smoke with new administrative plans for legalizing herb

New York’s pot smokers can now smell the pungent stench of victory.

In an initiative unveiled by Governor Andrew Cuomo this week, New York will announce that it will become the 21st state in the United States to allow the medical use of marijuana.

Cuomo’s plans to allow certain hospitals in the Empire State to dispense marijuana for certain medical problems such as nausea from cancer chemotherapy and glaucoma. The administration has scheduled for the announcement to be made on Wednesday.

This announcement is a complete opposite representation of the governor’s previous stance, which was totally against medical marijuana. Cuomo’s administration is also making it known that New York’s laws will be a lot more restrictive than in states such as Colorado and California, who have very liberal marijuana laws.
